“Respect For All” Week is a Department of Education initiative that begins Monday, February 9th through Friday, February 13th throughout all New York City Public Schools. Together with our teachers, we will continue to build on the work that we already do as a school to support this initiative. During the week of RFA, we will be offering our students additional engaging and meaningful lessons that promote respect for diversity. Students will participate in activities that focus on preventing bias-based harassment, intimidation and bullying.
Let’s work together to deepen our students’ understanding of this important initiative. We encourage you to have meaningful discussions with your children and talk with them about the meaning and importance of respecting each other within our school and global community.
Each day students will participate in different ways to support “Respect For All” Week:
Monday, February 9
Anti-Bullying Assembly. JLine Dance Crew performs for all students.
Tuesday, February 10
Students are able to wear hats to school to “put a cap on name calling”!
Wednesday, February 11
Show a kind heart and wear red for RESPECT
Thursday, February 12
To celebrate the 100th day of school, students will take part in an activity: 100 Acts of Kindness
Friday, February 13
Students will wear any sports team apparel, to discuss quote “We are all good sports if we treat each other like we are on the same team.”
