This month and through December our students in grades K-5 begin diagnostics in our I-ready program. I-Ready is an interactive online learning environment designed to assess students and provide individualized instruction based on each child’s unique needs. It is designed to complement what is being taught in the classroom, and the lessons that are generated afterwards are assigned based on how the students perform on the diagnostic test.
The students will begin the program by first taking the on-line diagnostic exam in school during their technology period. Once the diagnostic exams in both ELA and in Math are complete, the program will show teachers where our students are doing well and which topics need to be reviewed.
Based on the student’s results, their classroom teachers will assign differentiated lessons which can be used at home to enrich curriculum topics.
**After the students have completed both ELA and Math Diagnostics in school, they will receive their username and passwords for home use.
Grade 5 students will begin their diagnostic exams in December, immediately following their computer science unit. For more information visit Ms. Marsh’s website: www.MsMarsh682.info
