We are super excited for all the fun events taking place at TAOTS on 2/13/23 – 2/17/23:
Monday, February 13, 2023 – Students and Staff will wear a HAT and/ or SWEATS to show that 1) respect is always on your mind and we are putting a CAP on bullying and 2) being a friend is no SWEAT!
- 9:00 AM SLT meeting
- Parent Survey Window Opens. Please read the attached letter and complete your Parent Survey that has been sent home in your child’s backpack. When completed, you will be entered to win your children extra recess time and you will be entered in a raffle to win an Amazon Gift Card.
- Last day to Run for the CCEC 2023 Elections through your NYCSA – https://www.schoolsaccount.nyc/
Tuesday, February 14, 2023 – TAOTS TRIBES DAY!
- In the name of friendship love belonging, and respect, students will wear RED to show that we care and respect one another as a school community.
- 2:20 PM – 3:00 PM Parent Communication Time. Please be sure to make an appointment with your child’s teachers if you would like to meet with them.
- PTO of TAOTS is hosting a “Share the Love” trinket sale in the Main Lobby for your children to shop. Please send your children with funds in an envelope with their name & class written on the envelope for their safety.
Wednesday, February 15, 2023 – 100th Day of School!
- Students and Staff wear ORANGE to show we stand together against bullying, united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. 100th Day of School=100 Days Smarter!
- 1st Grade has a trip to the LIU Kumble Theater.
Thursday, February 16, 2023 – Rainbow Day
- Just like the colors of the rainbow, each person is unique in their own way. Students and staff will wear a variety of colors to celebrate differences.
- Harlem Magic Master assembly for students.
- 7:00 PM Virtual February PTO Meeting
Friday, February 17,2023 – Pajama Day!
- Students and staff wear their favorite pajamas to school to show that we at TAOTS are putting bullying to bed!

February 20 -24 – School Closed for Midwinter Recess. School will Resume on Monday, February 27, 2023.

March 9, 2023 – Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences – 11:20 AM Dismissal.

Afternoon 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM & Evening 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Important Reminder: Morning Arrival Procedure
- Breakfast is served Daily from 7:30 AM – 7:55 AM. At 7:55 AM Students will go directly to class. If you would like your children to eat breakfast at TAOTS, please be sure that your children are here between 7:30 AM – 7:55 AM.
- After 8:00 AM the Schoolyard Gates/Doors will Close – Promptly at 8AM. Please escort your children to the Main Lobby to receive a late pass. Your child will be escorted by a staff member to their class. Please Do NOT leave your child in the Main Lobby Alone. There are 3 schools in our building.
- Please Refrain from Waving at our children at Arrival. It is very Dangerous for your children to wave at their parents while they are walking down the stairs. The student Must hold onto the railing while they are looking down at the stairs, not up at the window.
