Last Day of School –Wednesday, June 26, 2019 – 11:20 am Dismissal & Report Cards Go Home!

The last day of school will be Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Dismissal will be at 11:20 am promptly. There will be bus service at 11:20 am . If there is a change in your child’s dismissal plan, kindly notify the main office and please email admin@taots.org . Report cards go home !

  • Please be sure to reach out to Ms. Appelbaum if you would like to register for your child’s NYC Schools Account. NYCSA allows parents to access their child’s past and present attendance, lateness, report cards, and NY State Test Scores.

Spring Concert Performances

Join Us for our Spring Concert Performances with Mr. Dubin on Monday, May 20, 2019 in the Auditorium. 9 am Kindergarten & 1st Grade, 10 am 4th & 5th Grades, and 1 pm 2nd & 3rd Grades.

PTO Elections Meeting – Thursday, May 23, 2019

8:30 am in the Library will have our General PTO Elections Meeting. This is a very important meeting. Please do your best to attend.

Last Day for Project Math

Please be advised that Thursday, May 30, 2019 is the last for Project Math. Dismissal for Project Math is at 3:45 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2019. After May 30, 2019 dismissal will resume to 2:20 pm for ALL Students.

2019 Spring Band Letter

Dear TAOTS Band family members,
I would like to take a moment to share some news regarding the band.
Our band concert will take place during the Big Night, May 15th at 6:45pm. Please make sure that your child can attend as this is our year end performance! The STEAM fair and speciality exhibits will open at 5:00pm. The band performance will conclude the evening and all parents are encouraged to attend. Band students will report to the auditorium at 6:00 pm. Dress for the concert will be black bottoms and TAOTS band t-shirts purchased by the PTO.

Over the next two weeks please help your child have the most positive experience she or he can have in band and in the concert by helping to make sure that s/he is practicing every day for at least 20 minutes, that on band days s/he has instrument and band folder when s/he leaves for school, and that you are being supportive and encouraging when your child practices.

4th grade parents, save the date!
The TAOTS band will be marching in the Columbus Day Parade on 18th Avenue! The parade will take place on Saturday, October 12th and will be mandatory for all returning band members. Set up time will be 12:00pm. The parade usually lasts from approximately 1:00pm to 1:45pm.
