Greeting TAOTS Families,

I hope that this email finds you well and you are enjoying the last days of vacation.  

Below are a few very Important Updates & Reminders to Prepare for the 1st Day of School!

The building will be closed for Labor Day on Monday, September 6, 2021 and on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 & Wednesday, September 8, 2021 for Rosh Hashanah.

We will be back in the building on September 9, 2021.

The 1st Day of School is Monday, September 13, 2021 ! 

• School Hours are from 8:00am – 2:20pm.  
• All students and parents are required to wear a Face Mask.
• Arrival for All Students will begin at 7:45am.  Please DO NOT LEAVE your Child Unattended.  Stay with your child until you have made contact with a staff member.  Kindly, line up along the gate and have your Health Screening completed and ready via the digital link to expedite the morning arrival procedure:  https://healthscreening.schools.nyc/  
• Dismissal for IK-2nd Grade is 2:10pm in the Schoolyard and 2:20pm for Grades 3-5 in the Schoolyard.
• If your child is a bus student, please be sure to email admin@taots.org  their Health Screening daily.  Also, please be sure to email admin@taots.org  if you DO NOT want your child to ride the Bus Home.  If your child is a Bus Student and we DO NOT hear from you, your child will be placed on their bus route.

Breakfast & Lunch

• Breakfast will be Grab & Go as the students enter the building and students will eat at their own desk in their classrooms.
• Lunch will be delivered to their classrooms daily and the students will eat at their own desks in their classrooms.

Class Assignments

• Class assignments will be posted at the end of next week due to system delays.

Parent Homework Packet & TAOTS Parent Handbook 

• The Parent Homework Packet contains Very Important Paperwork that MUST be Completed and Returned by Tuesday, September 14, 2021.  For your convenience, the Parent Homework Packet will be emailed on Thursday, September 9, 2021 so that you may get a head start! 
• The TAOTS Parent Handbook will be emailed and posted on the website by Friday, September 10, 2021.  Please be sure to read all of TAOTS policies.

Attention TAOTS Families

If you have not done so already, please set up your New York City School Account (NYCSA) now.

All your student’s important information will be listed there.

All Students must have a NYCSA set up for the upcoming and future school years.

IMPORTANT: If you already have an NYCSA no action is necessary!

Set Up Your Account Today!

• Supply lists can be found at https://taots.org/school-supply-lists/
• Families who did not buy a kit, for your convenience, will have Supply Drop Off Days on Thursday, September 2, 2021 and Friday, September 3, 2021 between 9:00am – 1:00pm.
• If you will be dropping off school supplies this week, please be sure to Clearly Label all the bags or boxes with your Child’s Name, Grade, and TAOTS (as we are a Campus with other schools in the building).
• If you ordered a Kit, the School Supply Kits are arriving this week and will be delivered directly to your child’s classroom.
